Compression Therapy: A Comfortable 20–30 Minute Reset

At a glance

Compression therapy is the most schedule-friendly recovery service we offer: the timing guidance is consistent across sources, and it slots neatly after any workout or long beach day.

How long a session takes

Healthline's compression therapy guide puts the standard at about 30 minutes at a time, and sports-recovery guidance lands in the same place: 20–30 minutes after exercise, several times a week during heavier training stretches.

What the research shows

A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis of 17 studies identified 20–30 minute protocols as the most frequently used range and reported benefits for easing post-exercise soreness. That timing also makes compression easy to schedule after training, travel or a long day on your feet.

A comfortable way to enjoy it

The pattern in the guidance is consistent: compression is commonly scheduled immediately after exercise. It can also be paired with red light or PEMF, since each service works naturally within a relaxed 20–30 minute window.

One quick note: compression boots aren’t recommended if you have deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or an active clotting condition, since the extra circulation could move a clot. If that’s you, just check with your doctor first and we’ll help you find another way to unwind.
